Dirk Edelhoff discovered his passion for music early on. He says: "I always dreamed of becoming a musician". He started playing the guitar at the age of 12 and soon showed his great potential. He twice won first place in "Jugend Jazzt" and decided to turn his hobby into a career. He studied classical guitar in Dortmund, Remscheid and Cologne and expanded his musical spectrum.
Dirk Edelhoff is a versatile and experienced musician who works in various areas of the music industry. He is not only a talented guitar teacher who supports his students with modern learning methods and individual support, but also a sought-after live and studio guitarist who is familiar with various genres such as pop, rock and jazz.
As a composer, he writes music for advertising, film and television, as well as his own songs for his band projects. He is also known as a columnist and author for renowned specialist magazines such as Gitarre & Bass and Guitar Techniques, where he published workshops on current guitar techniques such as One String Scales, Tapping, Sweep's and String Skipping. Dirk Edelhoff is also a dedicated seminar leader and lecturer who passes on his knowledge and experience to other guitarists. Among other things, he taught at the MGI (Munich Guitar Institute) in Cologne and offers qualified courses and workshops for all levels and musical styles in his own "Guitar School Dirk Edelhoff".
